Continuing with the Twitter Re-design

A couple of months back Doug Bowman lead a re-design of the Twitter home page that for the most part was met with huge approval. Really who could fault it? The homepage looks fantastic. The Twitter homepage had previously been quite introverted, making it difficult for people who were not a part of the Twitter community to really get a feeling of what Twitter was all about. So all in all the homepage re-design was a tremendous success, however Twitter has seemed to lose steam afterward.

It seems that the homepage was updated and then nothing else was done to update the rest of the look of Twitter. Now we are left with a disconnected homepage which doesn't resemble any of the rest of the Twitter site. and Pages with no sense of padding or alignment that are a poor example of design on the web.

I would really love to see the new Twitter design carried over into all facets of Twitter. Realistically it should have happened all at the same time so we didn't see this disjoint in Twitter's appearance that exists now.
